In 2014, one of our clients suffered turbogenerator 1st-row rotating blade damage and journal damage. Our steam turbine department manufactured and fitted new turbine blades for rotating stage No1 in record time and the journals were restored in our Laser Cladding cell, where their surface was rebuilt to their original dimensions. After work completion, the rotor returned on board where our service engineers fitted and tested it successfully. Since then it still operates excellently, contributing to fuel savings and environmental sustainability.
