Damages caused by non-well-maintained fuel injection equipment can severely impact engine performance and increase operating costs. Fuel valve poor atomization or nozzle leakage can be avoided with on-time and proper overhauling. KIMI has long experience in fuel pump and fuel injector overhauling for main and auxiliary engines. Executed either in our workshop or on the vessel, our overhauling procedure is in line with manufacturers’ recommendations.
In our workshop, grinding of the fuel pump and fuel valve components contact faces and seats is carried out with our high-precision grinding machines that restore proper seating and sealing. Following overhauling, fuel elements are assembled and tested for function and performance with our OEM-approved fuel test equipment. After the completion of the overhauling process, customers are recommended to proceed with our in-house developed and cost-effective re-manufacturing and repair services for fuel elements that could not be overhauled. Specifically, a re-manufacturing service is offered for worn slide fuel valves or fuel pump suction valves and a repair service for worn fuel injector non-return valves.
Our experienced travelling team is available round-the-clock for visiting and carrying out overhauling on board worldwide.
